When you create your personal page using "People" template, your page should have a linked titled called "Blog". As a default, this link points to a template blog page.
You should create your own blog page following the instructions below: - go to your personal page (People->your name).
- If you're not signed in, sign in through "Sign in".
- click "Edit page" button.
- click the linked title "Blog". it should popup a tool-tip displaying the current link destination.
- click "Change" link in that tool-tip. This should bring up "Create Link" window.
- Select "Existing page" on the left hand side.
- Then, click "Create new page" button at the bottom.
- Then, type "Yourname's blog" in the "New page title"
- Select "Announcements" from the "Page type" pull-down menu.
- select "Put page under yourname" radio button (and make sure your name under "People" is selected in the window.
- click "Create page" button
- make sure that "yourname's blog" is selected (with green tick mark),
- then click "OK"
- Next, you should click "Recent Announcements" gadget located on under "Blog" linked title. Tha should bring up a tool-tip displaying the detail of the gadget.
- Click "Properties" (located at the left most in the tooltip.
- Select your blog page, which you've just created above, from the "Show posts from" pull-down menu.
- click "Save"
- click "Save" located at the top of the page to finish making your blog page and entry.
- go to ViSLAB blog page, and add a link to your blog.
